There are many new and fun ways to enhance the virtual classroom setting for students! With TED-Ed, teachers can choose from original animated videos, creative interactive lessons, and integrate the materials from TED in their classroom.
TED-Ed allows for teachers all around the world to submit their own original lessons to be reviewed so that it could be shared with many more educators! The lessons are edited to be under 10 minutes and include special TED-Ed Animations to spark the curiosity of students. There are lesson supplements for all subjects ranging from The Arts to Science & Technology. Each mini lesson includes three sections: "Think," "Dig Deeper," and "Discuss." After playing video corresponding to the lesson, there is the "Think" question that students can answer based on the video. Then, teachers can move onto the "Dig Deeper" section and share additional information that relates to the chosen lesson topic. Finally, the "Discuss" section includes guided questions that teachers can use to further elaborate on what students have learned from the lesson.
TED-Ed is a great resource for teachers to include in their lesson plans and is easy to use in a virtual classroom!
