Please join us in congratulating our 2021 GWTeach seniors who have earned a minor in STEM Teaching!

 

Alexa Miller-Smith will be teaching middle school math in Miami, FL after graduation. She will miss the close-knit GWTeach community and the fun atmosphere of GWTeach classes! Congratulations, Alexa!

Melissa Abrams will be staying in DC post-graduation and working at Deloitte as a Government and Public Services Analyst. Since her first semester at GW, GWTeach has always held a special place in her heart as it provided her with a group of people with similar values and supportive Master Teachers. Congratulations, Melissa!

Deema Kahwash will be teaching high school math after graduation. She is most proud of how much more confident she has become as a teacher with GWTeach. Congratulations, Deema!

Lucinda Murray plans to be a scientist/researcher after graduation. She will miss the rigorous reflections and feedback that she received from Mentor Teachers and peers. Congratulations, Lucinda!

Trinh Ton will be pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Chemistry at the College of William and Mary after graduation. She will miss teaching, interacting with students, and the GWTeach community. Congratulations, Trinh!

Alexa Vero has finished the GWTeach program and will be finishing her final semester at GW in the Fall. She is going to miss everyone in the program and the great community GWTeach has built. Congratulations, Alexa!

Daniel Piatigorski will be attending Columbia University for his Master's Degree in Medical Physics. He will miss the welcoming GWTeach community as it has helped him grow into the person who he is today. Congratulations, Danny!

Jordan Bower plans on teaching middle school science post-graduation. She will miss all the friends that she made in the GWTeach program. Congratulations, Jordan!

Alison Pagalilauan will be completing her Master's Degree in Biology at GW with the BS/MS 4+1 program, as well as being an incoming QC analyst at Sirnaomics, Inc. She will miss role-playing as a student in lab demonstrations led by our lovely Master Teachers. Congratulations, Alison!

Fiona Walsh will be teaching middle school math post-graduation. She will miss her class besties and teachers so incredibly much. Fiona has learned so much by being a part of this community. Congratulations, Fiona!

Vanessa Vital will be taking a gap year to acquire more clinical experience, volunteer, and apply for graduate school. She will miss the ways in which GWTeach challenged her as a student, person and teacher. Most of all, she will miss interacting with the Master Teachers and peers. Congratulations, Vanessa!

Esther Kim will be taking some time to travel before teaching. She is most proud of her growth throughout the GWTeach program. Congratulations, Esther!
